Project pricing.
Every project is reviewed before work begins. You will receive a written quote based on the supplied files, materials, production time, quantity, finishing requirements, and overall project scope.
Print-Ready FDM 3D Printing
For customers who already have a complete, print-ready 3D model.
| Printing service | Price |
|---|---|
| Minimum FDM order | $25 |
| File review and setup | $10 per unique file |
| PLA | $0.035 per gram |
| PETG | $0.045 per gram |
| TPU | $0.060 per gram |
| Machine time | $2 per hour |
| Rush service | 50% surcharge |
| Shipping | Actual postage + $10.00 handling |
Material usage is based on the slicer’s estimated total, including the finished part, supports, brims, rafts, and purge material.
As-Printed Finish
Standard FDM pricing does not include support removal, sanding, filing, painting, assembly, or other finishing. Parts are supplied as they come off the printer.
Optional cleanup, assembly, and finishing are available upon request and will be included in the project quote.
Laser Cutting and Engraving
For compatible customer-supplied designs, materials, and objects.
| Laser service | Price |
|---|---|
| Minimum laser order | $25 |
| File review and standard setup | $10 per unique design |
| Laser cutting or engraving | $0.75 per machine minute |
| Ortur rotary-chuck setup | $15 per item type or batch |
| Materials supplied by the studio | Material price + 30% |
| Custom artwork or file preparation | $85 per hour |
| Rush service | 50% surcharge |
| Shipping | Actual postage + $10.00 handling |
The rotary setup charge applies once when multiple identical objects use the same dimensions, engraving placement, and design. Objects with different sizes, shapes, or engraving positions may require separate setups.
Volume pricing may be available for repeated designs and matching items.
Compatible Materials and Objects
Laser cutting and engraving are available for compatible woods, plywood, MDF, paper, cardboard, leather, coated metals, anodized aluminum, slate, and selected plastics.
Rotary engraving is available for compatible tumblers, bottles, cups, tubes, pens, rings, and similar cylindrical or curved objects.
Material suitability must be confirmed before work begins. Unknown plastics, PVC, vinyl, and materials containing chlorine will not be accepted. Clear acrylic, bare metal, and certain reflective or heat-sensitive materials may not be suitable for the available laser process.
Customer-Supplied Items
Customer-supplied materials and objects are accepted after review of their material, coating, dimensions, geometry, and condition.
Because laser engraving is permanent and material coatings can react differently, exact results cannot always be guaranteed. Customers are encouraged to provide an additional test piece when appearance, coating behavior, or replacement value is especially important.
Custom Prototyping and Product Development
For projects requiring CAD modeling, redesign, prototyping assistance, electronics, programming, assembly, testing, or continued refinement.
| Prototyping service | Price |
|---|---|
| CAD, design, prototyping, programming, assembly, testing, or finishing | $85 per hour |
| FDM materials | Charged by material weight |
| Laser materials | Material price + 30% |
| FDM or laser machine time during paid prototype development | Included |
| Electronic components and purchased hardware | Product price + 30% |
| Rush prototype work | 50% surcharge, when available |
When prototype-development labor is billed at $85 per hour, separate FDM and laser machine-time charges are waived for parts produced as part of that development project. Printed materials, laser materials, electronic components, purchased hardware, shipping, and delivery remain separate.
Electronic components and purchased hardware are billed at the supplier’s product price plus 30%. This covers purchasing, shipping coordination, handling, and storage. Component selections and purchases will be discussed and approved before ordering.
Significant changes to an approved design, additional prototype versions, troubleshooting caused by customer-supplied components, and work beyond the originally approved scope may require an updated quote.
Local Delivery and Shipping
Complimentary local drop-off or a public-location meetup is available within a three-mile road radius of the Safeway on Scholls Ferry Road in Beaverton.
Delivery beyond the complimentary area is charged at $3 per one-way mile beyond the three-mile radius.
Studio pickup is not available. Shipped orders are charged actual postage plus a $10.00 handling fee.
Rush Orders
Rush service may be available depending on material availability, machine capacity, project complexity, and the requested deadline.
Approved rush orders carry a 50% surcharge. A rush surcharge prioritizes the project but does not remove necessary production, cooling, curing, testing, or safety time.
Final Quotes
Website pricing provides a starting point. Final pricing may be affected by:
- Part size, orientation, infill, supports, and layer height
- Engraving size, detail, depth, and machine time
- Material type, thickness, availability, and compatibility
- Rotary alignment and object geometry
- Quantity and repeated setups
- Tolerances, finishing, assembly, and testing
- Customer-requested revisions
- Delivery, shipping, and deadline requirements
No fabrication, design work, component purchasing, or material ordering begins until the project scope, estimated cost, and timing have been approved.
