About Moe.

I’m Mohammad Elzein, but you can just call me Moe. A mechanical engineer whose passion for prototyping grew through my research at Portland State University’s Agile & Adaptive Robotics Lab. While working on artificial muscles and robotic systems inspired by biological movement, I saw how the right tools, combined with imagination and knowledge, could help us learn from nature and recreate some of what it does so remarkably well. What I enjoyed most was turning an idea into something real, designing it, building it, testing it, and improving it along the way. I created Moe’s Custom Prototyping Studio to use those same skills in design, 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics, and problem-solving to help others bring their own ideas to life, even if all they have to begin with is a rough sketch or a simple “what if?”
